The Radiation Oncology Target Delineation Workshop is a 2.5 day workshop that focuses on minimising the variation in target volume delineation in the delivery of conformal radiotherapy. The workshop will bring together site-specific radiologists and radiation oncologists to bridge gaps in knowledge through interactive sharing and practical hands-on sessions.

 WELCOME NOTE

Dear Friends,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to our inaugural target delineation workshop.

This workshop will be hosted by National University Hospital Singapore.

Over two and a half days, we aim to improve your knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and to reduce the variability in the contouring process.

Although we would like to cover all subsites comprehensively, this will not be possible given the limited time and resources. As such, for our first workshop we will cover Head and Neck, Central Nervous System (CNS), Upper Gastrointestinal tract, Breast and Gynaecological cancer.

We will aim to cover the other subsites in our coming workshops.

We will cater for adequate workstations so that participants can put into practice what they have learnt, and discuss practical points with our expert faculty.

We look forward to hosting you for an enriching experience.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Bala Vellayappan

 ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

 TARGET AUDIENCE

 WORKSHOP STRUCTURE

 ORGANISING COMMITEE

Target volume delineation is a crucial step in conformal radiotherapy.

Unfortunately, it is subject to great variability and hence is source of potential error in patient management

Minimising the variation in target volume delineation is an important quality assurance process in the delivery of conformal radiotherapy

All radiation oncologists rely on CT and MRI imaging in daily clinical practice, but have not had formal radiology training.

This workshop intends to bring together site-specific radiologists and radiation oncologists to bridge gaps in knowledge

Our experienced faculty will share tips and tricks which they use in their clinical practice.

Participants will have an opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt during our hands-on session

Radiation oncology trainees

Junior radiation oncologists

Radiation therapists and dosimetrists

Senior radiation oncologists wanting to refresh and validate their knowledge

Target Audience

Improve the knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, including optimal imaging sequences

Reduce variability and improve accuracy in determining target volumes and organs at risk

*5 CME points will be awarded
